6,500# Limited Super Stock Rules
1. Chassis - Maximum of 114” wheelbase unless originally produced with a longer wheelbase at which point the wheelbase will remain stock. Maximum length of 13 feet from center of rear axle to forward-most point of vehicle excluding the front hitch. No component tractors allowed. Wide front ends only. Must be OEM tractor rear end and transmission. No Component chassis allowed.
2. Drawbar - Must be a minimum of 18 inches behind center of rear axle, a maximum of 20 inches in height, and be ridged in all directions. Hitching eye to be a minimum of 1 inch thick with a 3” by 3.75” inside diameter hole.
3. Floorboard - All vehicles must be equipped with a floorboard.
4. Fenders - All tractors must have fenders and must support weight of driver. Top of fender must extend no less than a 6” over the top of the tires.
5. Roll Cage - Tractors must be equipped with a roll cage with an SFI 5 point harness.
6. Engine - Engine must be OEM designed block and match the vehicle’s drive line or factory replacement block for that tractor with factory appearing head for that tractor at the time of manufacture.
7. Weight / Cubic Inch - Badger State, East Central Iowa, East Central Missouri, Empire State, and Ohio River Valley Tractors will all weigh 6,500 lbs and under, running under their home club rules.
7,000 lbs. Turbocharged Gasoline tractors and Unlimited Cubic inch naturally aspirated tractors (Diesel, Alcohol, & Gasoline)
8. Fuel Pump - Bosch P-series pump maximum. No Sigma pumps allowed.
9. Fuel – Stock fuel only. Diesel, propane, or gasoline for Badger State, ECITPA, ECMTPA tractors. Alcohol may be used by the ORVTPA Pullers below 370 cid. Water injection allowed. Water for water injection systems and/or diesel fuel may be provided unannounced at any pull by tech officials for all competitors in a class or all classes.
10. Fuel Tanks - No pressurized tanks except propane, when used as a primary fuel only.
11. Turbo - Badger State & ECITPA tractors: 410 c.i.d. and below with a intercooler are limited to one 3" by 4" turbocharger with NO MAP INHANCEMENT GROOVES: 315 c.i.d. and below with a intercooler are limited to two 3" by 4" turbochargers with NO MAP INHANCEMENT GROOVES.
ECMTPA & ECITPA tractors: 410 c.i.d. and below with NO INTERCOOLER are limited to one 3" by 4" turbocharger with MAP INHANCEMENT GROOVES.
ORVTPA tractors: 466 c.i.d. and below Diesel and 370 c.i.d. and below Alcohol are limited to one 3" by 4" turbocharger with NO MAP INHANCEMENT GROOVES.
General Turbo Rules:
Only one turbo charger with one pressure stage will be allowed. The only exception being those diesels with 315 cid or less. Those vehicles are allowed to run (2) turbo chargers under the following guidelines. The compressor housing will have no larger than a 3” inlet measured at the smallest diameter area of the compressor wheel. No downsizing of the compressor housing ahead of the wheel will be allowed. The exhaust housing being no larger than a 4” outlet measured as above. Inlet will be measured using a 3.005” slug, exhaust using a 4.005” slug. Turbo must be under hood or shrouded end to end and 360 degrees around with .060” steel or heavier. It must be shrouded if under a fiberglass hood.
12. Air Shutoff – Diesel powered vehicles must have a cable operated engine air intake shutoff device. Device cannot be a ‘butterfly type’ and must be spring loaded. Cable must be located approximately 4 feet above the point of hook and within 6 inches of the center of the vehicle. Device must prevent the engine from building boost. The sled requires a 2 inch ring or equivalent be attached at the end of the cable. Mount cable in clear view. Do not mount below weights. Non-diesel powered vehicles must have a cable operated electric cutoff switch mounted on the rear of the vehicle. This switch is to kill spark to the engine and shut off electric fuel supply pumps in the event that the switch is activated.
13. Dump Valve - A 3-way fuel dump valve is required ahead of the injection pump. This valve is to be operated by a cable on the dash. Diesel only.
14. Neutral Start – Vehicle must not be able to be started while in gear.
15. Brakes - All tractors must have working rear brakes capable of sliding the rear tires.
16. Throttle - Throttle lever must have a spring installed such that if the throttle lever is released, the engine will return to an idle. Throttle must function such that moving the throttle lever forward, increases the engine’s RPM.
17. Stabilizer Bars - Stabilizer bars are required (no wheels allowed). The stabilizer bars cannot be bolted, welded, etc. to the drawbar in any way. The stabilizer bars must extend a minimum of 32 inches rearward from the center of the rear axle. The skid pad cannot be more than 10 inches off of the ground. The skid pad must be a minimum of 5” X 5” square. A minimum of 20 inches is allowed between the 2 skid pads. No cross bars are allowed on the stabilizer bars behind the point of hook. In addition to stabilizer bars, the vehicle must have a brace that extends vertically 12” from the rear most tip of skid pads. There must be a support brace extending inward to frame, axle or top of stabilizer bar arms. Materials used must be of minimum strength of materials used for stabilizer bars. Design and material must withstand severe impact of sled. Vertical brace should extend rearward a minimum 2” from radius of rear tires.
18. Engine Cooling Fan - Tractors must have an electric operated cooling fan. Stock steel bladed fans that are driven by a belt are not allowed.
19. Shields- All tractors must have a deflection shield on both sides of the engine, and cover the entire engine, either aluminum or steel not less than 0.060" thick. All tractors with fuel cell between engine compartment and driver must have a fire wall that separates the operator from the engine compartment with no holes other than those used for controls to pass through. In that instance, each hole is not to havemore than 1/2 inch clearance around the item passing through the wall. 0.60"thick steel or .120 aluminum must run between the frames and under the harmonic balancer to prevent loss of harmonic balancer from tractor.
20. Fire Extinguisher - Vehicle must be equipped with a minimum of a 2.5 lb dry type or a 2 lb Haylon type fire extinguisher that must be located within easy reach of the operator. Fire extinguisher must be fully charged.
21. Personal Safety Equipment - Driver must wear a helmet, snell rating of 85 or higher and a head sock. Driver must wear a fire suit jacket and pants, SFI 3.2A-1 minimum. Driver must wear SFI approved shoes. Driver must wear a minimum of SFI approved single layer gloves.
6000# Regional Super Stock Rules
1. Weight 6000 lbs
2. All tractors have to meet ISP general rules, safety standards and chassis and engine configurations. . Engine upgrades allowed. Component chassis will not be allowed. Aluminum heads allowed. Hemi heads allowed.
3. 505 cubic in. and below on alcohol or diesel. No turbo limit. Intercoolers allowed. Water injection allowed.

8. 5,800 lbs. One Hemi type automotive engine, cast or aluminum with maximum 14-71 hi-helix supercharger.

6000# Altered Stock Tractor Rules
1. Block and head to be manufactured by same company as tractor, same number of cylinders and same configuration. Engine must run on original ignition type.
2. Gas, diesel and LP as single source fuel only. Fuel injection on diesel only. No p pump allowed. Tractors shall have one carburetor with no more barrels than original factory equipment for that make and model. Carburetor shall draft same direction as original.
3. Aftermarket intake and exhaust allowed. Exhaust must be up.
4. 2500 RPM limit. Tractor must be equipped with Isspro 019R8906, 2wire sensor. Wire must be in full view and be connected to a standard 110volt female, grounded receptacle located in similar position as kill switch might be located. Over 2500 RPM DQ any time on track. 440 or less cubic inch run 2800RPM
5. Electric fans allowed
6. Tractor mush have stock frame. For make and model
7. OEM tractor front end only. Electric fans allowed.

1. All tractors have to meet NTPA/PPL/Outlaw safety standards and chassis configurations. No component chassis allowed.
2. Cubic Inch Limit: 470 c.i.d.
3. Turbocharger Limit: Single turbo with 3-inch diameter intake maximum. Diameter measured at front face of wheel. Compressor wheel must enter into the compressor housing. Map width enhancement grooves are NOT allowed.
4. Intercoolers will not be allowed.
5. Tires: 24.5 x32 or 20.8 x 38 or 18.4 x 42 maximum.
6. Class weights
8,500 lbs. No MAP ring 3x4 turbo P-pump and 24.5 x 32 tires
8,200 lbs. MAP ring 3 x 4 turbo P-pump and 20.8 x 38 tires
8,200 lbs. MAP ring 3 x 4 turbo A-pump , intercooler and 24.5 x 32 tires.
12,000# Natural Aspirated Tractor Rules
Drawbars
1. Drawbars shall meet the following: drawbar to be a minimum of 2 square inches total steel material at any point. This includes the area of the pin with the pin removed. The pin will be a minimum of 7/8 inch. Drawbar must be equipped with a steel hitching device not more than 1.5 x 1.5 square, (or 1.5 round), and with an oblong shaped hole 3.75 inches long and 3 inches wide.
2. No drawbar support tubes attached above the centerline of the rear axle, unless using the stock drawbar support for that make and model. Absolutely no drawbar supports designed to pull only from, or to be attached only to a point above the centerline of the rear axle.
3. Drawbar maximum height 20”
4. Drawbar to be no shorter than 18”
Engines
1. Each competing vehicle must have a working RPM pick up on their vehicle. The pick up must be wired uninterrupted to a common 3 prong household electrical receptacle that is to be mounted on the back of the vehicle directly above the drawbar area. The pick up MUST be in working order during competition. If a competitor’s pick up does not work at an event, a competitor may be hand tached immediately after leaving the track after a competitive pass. A competitor must be tached trackside. If a competing vehicle leaves the track area before being tached, the vehicle will be disqualified.
2. If a competitor’s pick up does not work at an event, they have until the next event to repair the problem. A competitor will not will not be eligible to compete 2 event entries in a row with out a working pick up.
3. Engine must be stock block or factory replacement for that make or model.
4. Tractors are limited to 700 cubic inches.
5. Engine RPM is limited to 10% over the factory rated RPM up to 3000 rpm maximum RPM. Engine RPM will be determined by the A & W Dyno Book.
6. A competitor may petition for another RPM other than that listed in the A & W book. A competitor must present 3 forms of documentation to the IPA board to be considered. The IPA board will determine whether the variance will be allowed. The decision of the board will be FINAL
7. All tractors are to be naturally aspirated. No turbochargers, superchargers or add on injection.
8. No air-cooling agents.
9. P series injection pumps are allowed.
10. No aluminum or aftermarket heads are allowed
11. Engine must be stock appearing for that make and model of tractor.
Chassis
1. Tractors are to be stock appearing.
2. All housings must be stock appearing for that make and model of tractor.
3. Must run OEM axles and axle housings for that make and model of tractor.
4. Fenders are required.
Exhaust Systems
1. Factory stock mufflers with all baffles in place or exhaust pipe
Fuel and Fuel Containers
1. No nitrous oxide, oxygen or nitro methane.
2. Tractors must run on diesel.
3. No water or alcohol injection.
Kill Switches
1. All diesel competing vehicles must have an air shut-off in working at order at all times.
2. On a diesel tractor, the kill cable must activate the air shut-off required on a diesel engine. A cable may be used for this purpose, but must have positive type enclosed cable for the air shut-off. The cap must have a spring loaded closing mechanism. System to be deemed acceptable must at least prevent from building boost. It is recommended that a gasket / seal arrangement be used. to more effectively shut off air flow. Door or rain cap air shut offs (no “butterfly” type) will be required on all self ignition engines with a separate control for the driver. Control for driver not to be the same as for the sled. No electrical operated air shut-offs allowed.
3. Track officials and/or tech inspectors have the option of checking kill switches as they feel is adequate at any event. It is recommended that all kill switches be check on all competing vehicles at every event.
4. All kill switches must be mounted independent of drawbar and/or wheelie bars / stabilizer bars.
5. The kill switch must be located in the rear center (maximum of 6 inches off center in any direction), approx four feet above the hook point.
6. The breakaway kill switches must have attached to them a minimum of a 2-inch diameter ring, with a minimum 1/8 inch cross-sectional thickness. The cable from the sled will be attached to this ring.
7. Portion of the kill switch and mounting bracket(s) must be able to withstand 32 pounds of pull per switch when pulled independently or collectively.
8. If vehicle has kill switch or shut-off located in a legal position, and during the pull it is pulled and the nylon strap is broken, and the presiding judge inspects and finds switch capable of operating properly under normal conditions, vehicle will be allowed to re-pull immediately or drop six positions. Decision to drop must be made before vehicle leaves the track. It is the puller's responsibility to see that the official checks the switch before leaving the track.
9. Diesel and fuel injected engines must have a fuel shut-off valve control within easy reach of driver (your normal fuel shut-off on diesel pump). All diesel engines must be equipped with an emergency shutdown air shut-off at the air intake, which can be utilized from the tractor seat. Fuel injected ignition engines, fuel shut-offs to be located between fuel pump and injection nozzle.
Stabilizer Bars
1. Stabilizer bars are required. The drawbar assembly will not in any way be attached to the stabilizer bar assembly.
2. The stabilizer bar must extend a minimum of 32 inches behind a line drawn from the center of the wheel to the ground. Pad must not be more than 10 inches off the ground at 32-inch point and be measured during hitch check before competition. The stabilizer pad must be a minimum of 5 inches square with a minimum of 20 inches allowed from outside of one pad to the other. No crossbars between stabilizer bars allowed behind point of hook.
Safety
1. Any engine driven fan must be shrouded 360 degrees.
2. If an Illiana Pullers Association track official or tech official feels a vehicle is unsafe, they have the right not to allow vehicle to pull. Track official or tech official has the right to bar a competition vehicle from competing if he or she believes that the vehicle has a potential safety problem.
3. A scatter blanket is not required but is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
4. All pulling vehicles must be equipped with a minimum of 2 lb Halon type of 2_ lb dry-powder type fire extinguisher, full charged with a gauge, in working condition and convenient to the operator.
Tires
1. Maximum size is 18.4-38. No duals, chains or four-wheel drives.
2. Cut tires allowed.
Weights
1. Maximum weight for tractor and driver is 12,000 lbs.
2. Weights must be safely secured and must not extend rearward beyond rear tires. No weight frame may extend more than 24" beyond the furthest point of the front of the tractor.
9500# Hot Farm Rules
1. Weight – 9,500 lbs. P-pump or 10,000 lbs. A-pump
2. All tractors must have weld on hubs.
3. Hoods - Tractor must retain stock appearance and sheet metal stock location. Allow for updates.
4. Shields- All tractors must have a deflection shield on both sides of the engine, and cover the entire engine, either aluminum or steel not less than 0.060" thick. All tractors with fuel cell between engine compartment and driver must have a fire wall that separates the operator from the engine compartment with no holes other than those used for controls to pass through. In that instance, each hole is not to havemore than 1/2 inch clearance around the item passing through the wall. 0.60"thick steel or .120 aluminum must run between the frames and under the harmonic balancer to prevent loss of harmonic balancer from tractor.

All Pro Field tractors must run under their home club rules at 10,000 lbs. MSTPA, NWMTPA, & MMTPA
NOTE: All tractors must conform to one of these sets of rules and limitations.
11. Fuel - Stock fuel for make and model of tractor (No Compressed air, Nitrous Oxide or Fuel Conversions, No Propane, or Nitro Methane allowed) with exception of starting aid. Water injection allowed. NO INTERCOOLERS, OF ANY FORM OR SHAPE ALLOWED IN THE AIR INTAKE SYSTEM OF ANY TRACTOR.
12. Tires - 20.8 x 38 MAXIMUM with a MAP RING TURBOCHARGER, 24.5 x 32 tires are allowed if you have a NON MAP RING (SMOOTH BORE) TURBOCHARGER. YOU CANNOT HAVE 24.5 TIRES WITH A SLOTTED TURBOCHARGER!
13. Fuel Pump - Bosch P series pump allowed.
14. Engine - OEM stock block, head, intake manifold & exhaust manifold must be used for make and model of vehicle being entered. No aftermarket components allowed. No aluminum heads.

21. Clutch Blanket - Tractors must be equipped with a minimum of 17” wide, 6 straps SFI 4.2 clutch blanket. Blanket must overlap a minimum of 6 inches.
22. Dump Valve - A 3-way fuel dump valve is required ahead of the injection pump. This valve is to be operated by a cable on the dash.
23. Fire Extinguisher - Vehicle must be equipped with a minimum of a 2.5 lb dry type or a 2 lb Haylon type fire extinguisher that must be located within easy reach of the operator. Fire extinguisher must be fully charged.
24. Floorboard - All vehicles must be equipped with a floorboard.

11,000# Pro Farm Rules
1. Weight – 11,000 lbs.
2.. Brakes - All tractors must have working rear brakes capable of sliding the rear tires.
3. Drawbar - Must be a minimum of 18 inches behind center of rear axle, a maximum of 20 inches in height, and be ridged in all directions. Hitching eye to be a minimum of 1 inch thick with a 3” by 3.75” inside diameter hole.
4. Stabilizer Bars - Stabilizer bars are required (no wheels allowed). The stabilizer bars cannot be bolted, welded, etc. to the drawbar in any way. The stabilizer bars must extend a minimum of 32 inches rearward from the center of the rear axle. The skid pad cannot be more than 10 inches off of the ground. The skid pad must be a minimum of 5” X 5” square. A minimum of 20 inches is allowed between the 2 skid pads. No cross bars are allowed on the stabilizer bars behind the point of hook. In addition to stabilizer bars, the vehicle must have a brace that extends vertically 12” from the rear most tip of skid pads. There must be a support brace extending inward to frame, axle or top of stabilizer bar arms. Materials used must be of minimum strength of materials used for stabilizer bars. Design and material must withstand severe impact of sled. Vertical brace should extend rearward a minimum 2” from radius of rear tires.
5. Chassis – Maximum of 114” wheelbase unless originally produced with a longer wheelbase at which point the wheelbase will remain stock. Maximum length of 13 feet from center of rear axle to forward-most point of vehicle excluding the front hitch.
6. Tires - 20.8-38, 20.8-42 or 18.4-42 Cut tires allowed. Aluminum rims allowed.
7. RPM - 3500 RPM maximum for Non Intercooled 640 CID or less. Badger State Tractors must conform to their 2008 rules, Illinois Tractor Pulling Assn: tractors must conform to their 2008 rules. Vehicle must have an ISSPRO #019R8906 magnetic pickup attached to the front of the engine to measure engine RPM’s. The lead from the pickup to the rear of the vehicle is to be made of 14-16 gauge wire attached to a 110V, 3 prong female electrical outlet. The 2 wires from the pickup need to be attached to the 2 main spades, not the ground spade, of the electrical outlet. This outlet receptacle needs to be mounted next to the rear mounted air shutoff cable. Wire must be one (1) continuous wire outside the side rails and visible. NO SPLICES.
8. Fuel Pump - Bosch P series pump allowed.
9. Engine - OEM stock block, head, intake manifold & exhaust manifold must be used for make and model of vehicle being entered. No aftermarket components allowed.

15. Dump Valve - A 3-way fuel dump valve is required ahead of the injection pump. This valve is to be operated by a cable on the dash.
16. Throttle - Throttle lever must have a spring installed such that if the throttle lever is released, the engine will return to an idle. Throttle must function such that moving the throttle lever forward, increases the engine’s RPM.
17. Clutch - Clutch must be SFI approved. Certification papers required.
18. Clutch Blanket - Tractors must be equipped with a minimum of 17” wide, 6 strap SFI 4.2 clutch blanket. Blanket must overlap a minimum of 6 inches.

In that instance, each hole is not to havemore than 1/2 inch clearance around the item passing through the wall. 0.60"thick steel or .120 aluminum must run between the frames and under the harmonic balancer to prevent loss of harmonic balancer from tractor.
21. Fenders - All tractors must have fenders and must support weight of driver. Top of fender must extend no less than a 6” over the top of the tires.
22. Floorboard - All vehicles must be equipped with a floorboard.

All tractors have to meet NTPA/PPL/Outlaw safety standards and chassis configurations. No component chassis allowed.

N.T.P.A. Light Pro Stock Tractors will be allowed to run with the 640 c.i.d. 4.1 turbocharged Limited Pro Stock tractors.
Light Pro Stock tractors rules are as follows:
All OEM chassis Pro Stock rules, including shielding, safety and SFI requirements, apply to this class plus the following rules.
A. Engines
1. No engine larger than 540 cid. (+ or – 1 percent)
2. No component chassis
3. Engine head must be OEM agricultural-type for that brand engine. (No billet)
4. No overhead cams allowed.
5. Maximum 2 valves per cylinder
6. No inner / after coolers
7. Diesel fuel only
8. Maximum allowed “P” pump 3000 or 7100 series only (No aftermarket housing). Only
one plunger per cylinder allowed.

1950# Limited Mini Rod Rules
All vehicles are required to have an SFI 47.3 spec roll cage. Vehicles are limited to the following weight/cubic inch combination.
Class weights:
1,950; 8-71 blower max, 380 ci max.
2,000; N/A big block, any ci, and small block W/6-71 blower 380 ci max.
2,050; N/A small block, any ci.
Generall Rules:
Brakes:
1.) All competing tractors must be equipped with working rear brakes.
2.) All driveline brakes must have a minimum of 3/8” steel, 360 degrees around brake components.
Drawbars:
1.) Drawbar height to be a maximum of 13” at the inside back of the hole
(hook point).
2.) Drawbar must have a minimum of 1 _” diameter hole.
3.) No portion of the tractor may interfere with the sled, chain, or hook during a pull, or while being hooked or unhooked.
4.) Drawbar hitching point bolt must be a minimum of a _” bolt, grade 8.
5.) Solid drawbar is required. A solid one piece hitch of minimum 1” solid steel with a minimum of a 1 _ “ hole.
6.) Drawbar must be a minimum of 6” long to hook point from the center of the rear axle, with a maximum of 18” long to hook point.
7.) Tip over bars are to be separate from the drawbars.
Flywheel and Clutch Shielding:
1.) Flywheel and clutch assembly must be covered with a bellhousing meeting S.E.M.A. standards. No holes allowed in the bellhousing except one cooling hole, max. of 1” diameter on the face. Bellhousing must be flush on the face and use the blocksaver plate.
2.) All automatic transmissions must be covered with S.E.M.A. approved safety blanket and/ or shield. MANDATORY: The bellhousing must be covered with a S.E.M.A. approved flywheel flex plate shield, or a steel shield that is 3/16” thick by 3” wide.
3.) No Cast Iron Flywheels
4.) All planetary gearboxes must be covered with a S.E.M.A. approved blanket or shield.
Chassis:
1.) All tractors shall have wide front axles. Front wheels shall track within
rear wheels.
2.) No portion of any tractor shall exceed 8 feet forward of the center of

Engines:
1.) All tractors require side plates the length of the engine block, 6” above
and below the crankshaft centerline, made of 1/8” aluminum or 1/16” steel.
2.) Side shields must be mounted independently of the engine block.
3.) All blow tubes must exit forward or the rear wheels.
4.) All tractors must be equipped with a mechanical throttle linkage with a return to idle springs. No hydraulic throttle linkages are allowed.
5.) All fans and stock type harmonic balancers must be wrapped 360 degrees with 1/16” steel of 1/8 “ aluminum, and with a crossbar on the front.
6.) One-piece harmonic balancers and SFI approved harmonic balancers must be bolted to the crank with a minimum grade 8 bolt.
7.) Fuel injection engines must have a fuel shut-off valve within reach of the driver when seated.
8.) All superchargered engines must use SFI Spec. 14.1 blower restraints. Supercharger drive components must be shrouded top and sides with minimum 0.060” steel. Blower shield must be wider than all components, idler belt, pulleys, etc. and be securely mounted.
9.) All turbochargers must be completely shrouded, except for the inlet and exhaust pipes, with minimum 0.060” steel.
Fuel:
1.) Methanol or Gasoline
1300# Mini Hot Rod Rules
1. Maximum number of cylinders is 4, no turbines or rotary engines. See protest rule below.
2. Fuel may be gasoline, alcohol, or diesel fuel but NO pressurized tanks. Fuel will be checked at random by officials.
3. Exhaust must exit in an upward direction.
4. If fan is used, it must be shrouded 360 with at least 16 gauge steel.
5. All drive chains and drive belts must be shrouded with at least 12 gauge steel. All fan pump belts must be shrouded with aluminum or steel, but may be open to the ground.
6. Bell housing must be SEMA approved, or totally enclosed with 1/8 inch steel, or covered with a scatter blanket. If scatter blanket is used on tractor, the blanket must be pulled forward far enough to reach the flywheel. If automatic transmission is used, an automatic transmission blanket or director approved shield must be used. The flywheel, clutch and all turning components must be shrouded 360 with 1/8 inch steel within two inches. All tractors must use a production aluminum or steel flywheel.
7. Tractor must be equipped with tip-over bars that will support the weight of the tractor and driver.
8. Hitch must be rigid in all ways having a minimum of 1 & 3/4 inch opening horizontal to the ground. Point of hook-up to a sled chain must be behind center of rear wheels. Maximum height to top of draw-bar is 13 inches.
9. All weights must be safely secured and may be moved up to the time of the official pull. Any weights lost while hooked to the sled will be grounds for disqualification. (Weights, being any part or parts, of the tractor with the exception of mechanical failure).
10. Length of tractor is not to exceed 9 feet, excluding tip-over bars.
11. Tractor must have a frame. Engine may not be used as a frame.
12. Tractor must be equipped with a brake or brakes that work.
13. Tractor must be equipped with a break-away engine kill switch at the back of the tractor. A steel ring with a one inch minimum hole will be attached to the break-away engine kill switch.
14. All tractors must have a wide front end, with the front tires tracking within the tread of the rear tires.
15. The frame of any tractor must be securely attached to the rear end.
16. Tire size will be a maximum of 31X15.5X15.
17. Engine side shields will be required and must cover the side of the block. A minimum of 60 thousandths steel or aluminum.
18. All turbos must be shrouded with 1/16 inch steel band from the intake pipe to the exhaust pipe.
19. Tractors will be limited to one turbo or blower.
20. All tractors must be equipped with some type of shield between the driver and the tires.
21. All drivers shall wear a fire retardant type suit.
20. Weight of 1300# includes tractor, all weights and driver.
21. All drivers MUST be 16 years old with a valid drivers license.
TRUCKS
6200# Altered Stock 4X4 Truck Rules
Drawbars
1. Hitch height to be a maximum of 26" at hook point.
2. Drawbar length is a min. 36% of the wheelbase. Drawbar must not extend more than 12" past the rear of the truck and must be rigid in all direction.
3. Trucks where the drawbar height adjustment link is attached to the rear differential housing, the attaching point must be at axle centerline or below.
Clutches and Flywheels
1. Steel bell housings or scatter blankets are required.
2. The flywheel, clutch and pressure plate components must be SFI approved and numbered components.
3. All bell housings must be flush on the inside surface.
4. SFI certified bell housing with Crower stand adjustment slot are acceptable.
5. Add four additional bolts to fasten the bell housing to block saver plate. These bolts are to be 3/8-inch grade 5 and between existing bolts on the top half of the bell housing, along with 5 evenly spaced bolts between block saver and bell housing on lower half.
6. Only mechanically activated clutches allowed.
Engines
1. Maximum engine displacement is 482 c.i.
2. Engine must be naturally aspirated with cast iron blocks, heads and intake manifold.
3. Production cast iron intake manifold with no external modifications.
4. Any single 4150 based carb allowed.
Chassis
1. Truck must have factory frames and complete bodies. No Gutting. If bed is gutted, 200lbs of moveable weight must be hung behind the rear axle.
2. Truck must have all body components: fenders, hood, doors, bed. All original sheet metal in cab must be intact. Tilt front ends allowed. No fiberglass bodies and no flatbeds.
3. Trucks must have safety glass or Plexiglas in windshield and rear window.
4. Rear of block can be no more forward than 12" from the center of the front axle tube.
5. Weight box maximum width 84", not to exceed 60" forward from top center position of front axle tube.
6. Truck must have a factory front suspension in place. Traction bars allowed. Solid suspension is allowed in the rear.
7. Production (OEM) driveline up to 1 ton with a 133" wheelbase maximum. Dana 70 front and Dana 80 rear axle maximum. (1 ton maximum) Hollander Interchange to be used for reference.
8. The outside edge of front or rear tires must track within centerline of one another.
Exhaust Systems
1. Exhaust system must run down and back or up through the hood. Adequate clearance around headers will be allowed to permit opening the hood. If cut out includes the metal between the headers, the air cleaner and/or carburetor must be under the factory hood dimensions.
Fuel and Fuel Containers
1. Gasoline only as fuel. . No additives are allowed in gasoline except those additives blended by the fuel manufacturer or refinery.
2. Fuel cells only, no factory tanks allowed.
3. No fuel cells in driver’s compartment.
Kill Switches
1. Kill switch with a 2" diameter ring required. It must break power to the ignition and electric fuel pump. The switch must be located approx. 12" above hitch.
2. Track officials and/or tech inspectors have the option of checking kill switches as they feel is adequate at any event. It is recommended that all kill switches be check on all competing vehicles at every event.
Safety
1. Engine must be shielded at least .060" thickness. Height to extend to bottom of cylinder head and must cover the entire length of the engine. No unnecessary holes in the firewall. Any engine driven fan must be shrouded 360 degrees.
2. Reverse light required at the rear of the vehicle and inside the cab.
3. All driveline U-joints are to be enclosed 360 degrees using 1/4" steel or 5/16" aluminum and must be a minimum of 6" wide with a maximum of 2" clearance from the U-joint.
4. All drive shafts between the transmission and transfer case must be completely enclosed with _” steel or 5/16” aluminum and fastened securely.
5. All drive shafts must also have 3 loops 1/4" thick steel x 3/4" wide minimum.
6. If an Illiana Pullers Association track official or tech official feel a vehicle is unsafe, they have the right not to allow vehicle to pull. Track official or tech official has the right to bar a competition vehicle from competing if he or she believes that the vehicle has a potential safety problem.
7. All pulling vehicles must be equipped with a minimum of 2 lb Halon type of 2_ lb dry-powder type fire extinguisher, full charged with a gauge, in working condition and convenient to the operator.
8. All trucks equipped with a harmonic balancer shall be SFI approved or shrouded with _” steel shield 1” wide and 360 degrees around the balancer. Water pump may be used. All vehicles must have two _” x 1” straps to keep the balancer from working forward
Tires
1. Tires must be D.O.T. legal up to 35” maximum, no cut tires, dual wheels or chains. 10” rim maximum.
Weights
1. Maximum weight for truck and driver is 6200 lbs.
2. Illini State Pullers Stock Altered 4X4 Trucks can pull at their weight and rules.
6,200# Super Stock 4X4 Truck Rules
Body:
1. The pickup truck must have a 133" wheelbase. May use plastic box liners or custom covers securely fastened. ALL DRIVE TRAIN components must be in original position on frame except transfer case.
2. Trucks must run full hood and be in closed position while pulling. Tilt front ends allowed with grilles in original position. Front bumpers optional and rear bumpers recommended to protect your bed from damage.
Engine:
1. Cubic inch limit is 540 c.i.d.
2.Engine and truck must be made by the same manufacturer, heads must be factory production type heads with stock type valve train available in cast or aluminum. Aftermarket heads with manufacturer numbers are allowed. You can use aftermarket single speed transmissions. Cylinder heads may only consist of the following: Ford SVO, Indy, Hemi Merlin, Dart 320, 360, and Pro – Eagle only. Brodex up to BB5, Stock, Individual Jesel set up is o.k.. Cylinder heads that are not allowed: Pontiac Big Chief, Olds Big Chief, Dart Big Chief, Brodix Big Duke, Ford C460, Ford E460. No pro stock heads allowed. No hemi heads.
3. All engines to be naturally aspirated with a single 4 barrel carburetor with any stock configuration intake manifold. Electric fuel pumps allowed and any ignition may be used.
4. Pump Gasoline Only, No Alcohol and No Nitrous
5. Headers allowed. May exit upright or toward the rear of truck parallel to frame.

FANTASY TRUCK PULLERS RULES
2010 SUPER STOCK 4X4
1. Definition of a Super Stock Truck:
A 1/2, 3/4, or 1 ton stock pickup that has had alterations made to its parts to make it a super stock.
Any alterations to the stock type component can be internal or external as long as the alteration does not remove the component from being a pickup truck.
2. Vehicle may not be stripped beyond safe operating condition - hood, fenders, and doors.
3. Must be a factory production vehicle. Truck and engine must be of same manufacturer. Engine must be in stock location, or no less than 14" from center of front axle to the front of the bell housing. Engine limit - 530 C.I. limit (5 C.I. leeway).
4. No tube frames- Must run stock pickup frame.
5. Dual shocks, solid suspension, blocks and traction bars allowed. Any automotive type spring may be used. Any combination of the above is allowed on front or rear axle.
6. Plummer suspension is not allowed. Must have factory, functional, front suspension.
7. Must have push bars 36" or below. No lower than 24" solid construction.
8. Maximum wheel base 133".
9. Fuel pressure gauge must be mounted outside of truck cab. No nitrous oxide, alcohol, or pressurized fuel allowed.
10. Headers allowed. Any ignition permitted.
11. All safety equipment required - loops, scatter shield, rear axle covers, kill switch. All kill switches must shut off ignition and fuel pumps. No modifications to bell housing in line of fly wheel.

6,200# Modified 4X4 Truck Rules (650 c.i.d.)
Vehicles in this division must be 4 wheel drive.
1. Body/Chassis
A. Vehicle must have hood, grill, & fenders in place as intended by manufacturer.
B. Vehicle body style must be or have been available from a dealer as mass-
produced.
C. Vehicle must maintain original appearance.
D. Vehicle appearance:
1. No bare chassis or flat beds permitted.
2. Must have metal frame.
3. Non-metal floor allowed in bed.
4. Fiberglass hood scoops, spoilers, fender flares are allowed.
E. Adjustable front suspension stops must be mechanical. Pneumatic,
hydraulic and electrical devices are allowed as long as there are no lines or controls going to or from them after the vehicle goes across the scale, all connections must be disconnected from the supply source.
2. Drawbars
A. No drawbar greater than the angle of the sled chain. (Acceptable angle: 0 degrees to a maximum of 25 degrees.
B. If drawbar is supported by links to rear axle housing, fastening point cannot be above centerline of housing.
C. Maximum hitch height shall be 26 inches with 3 x 3.75 hitch opening.
1. All 4WD vehicle engines/automatic transmission combinations must have either:
a. Two front engine mounts, two rear engine mounts and a support saddle for the rear of transmission OR
b. Two front engine mounts, support saddle at rear of engine.
3. Engines
A. Engines must be naturally aspirated only.
B. Acceptable fuels are gasoline and alcohol.
C. Engine must be in stock location, which is defined as being within engine
Compartment as manufactured, behind stock grille and in front of stock
firewall.
D. Vehicle may run without radiator, engine may be moved forward, but
Engine must stay behind the grille, except for high performance type starters and accessories with crankshaft.
Note: Entire engine to mean anything that is bolted to the engine block.
E. Rear of engine block may not be moved forward of centerline of front
Axle.
F. No superchargers or turbo chargers allowed.
G. Engine may have a maximum bore spacing of five inches.
H. Automotive engines at all levels of competition are only allowed to run a maximum of two valves per cylinder.
I. Fuel injection (and carburetors) and header may protrude through the hood.
Note: Bubble or scoop is optional, but if used, the scoop or bubble must cover the carburetors or fuel infection, if induction system protrudes through the hood.
J. Vehicle must have vertical exiting exhaust; height of pipe must be a
minimum of one foot above the bend.
Note: Vertical is defined as “being in plumb” with a ten degree variance in any d direction permitted.
K. Vehicles to conform to provision of Modified Tractor engine shielding.
4. Frames
A. May be different from the make and model of the truck body.
B. Tubular steel frame is allowed.
C. Center of wheels cannot exceed plus or minus six inches of fender wells
For wheelbase being used, which means a vehicle may run up to a
Maximum of 133 inch wheelbase.
D. Wheels must be in fender wells as described above. The body may be
stretched in the middle to accompany this.
E. The outside edge of the tire on the narrow axle must overlap the center-
Line of the tire on the wide axle by at least one inch.
F. Weights/weight bar must not extend forward more than sixty inches from
the centerline of the axle
5. Tires:
are a maximum tire size to be 112-inch circumference on an 18-inch rim inflated to 30 PSI with original bar not to exceed 17 inches in width before cutting.

Weight breaks:
8000 lbs. Weight is with driver.
Ballast:
Ballast is permitted. Hanging weights may not extend more than 60 inches from the centerline of the front axle
Batteries:
The batteries must be securely mounted. They may not be located in the driver compartment
Body:
The body must be the OEM truck body, including the full bed floor. The body must retain full sheet metal. Metal after-market hoods are permitted. The hood must be closed and securely latched while hooked to the sled.
Brakes:
Must have at least 2 working brakes on front axle
Chassis:
The OEM chassis is mandatory. The engine must be in the OEM location for the body used. The vehicle must retain the full OEM chassis. Wheel tubs, back-half conversions, tube chassis, etc., are prohibited.
Cooling System:
Radiators must be in the stock location and be of at least stock size.
Credentials:
All drivers must have a valid state drivers license.
Driver Restraint System:
The OEM restraint system is mandatory and must be worn.
Driveshaft Loops:
All trucks must have at least six inch wide u-joint shields around the rear u-joint constructed of at least 1/4 inch steel or 3/8 inch aluminum that will safely contain the u-joint and the end of the rear shaft.
All shields must be securely mounted to the vehicle. Any front shaft u-joint that is visible from the side of the truck must be shielded to contain the u-joint and the end of the shaft.
Engine:
The engine block must have been available as a factory option on a one-ton or smaller pickup truck. Blocks must circulate coolant freely. The use of concrete or other block fillers is prohibited. There will be no limit on RPM
Exhaust:
All vehicles must be equipped to direct exhaust upward. Two 3/8 inch diameter bolts must be placed through the exhaust pipe in a cross pattern within one inch of each other as close to the turbo as is practical.
Fire Extinguisher System:
A fire extinguisher system is permitted. It must be securely mounted.
Firewall:
The complete OEM firewall is mandatory.
Floor:
The complete OEM floor pan is mandatory.
Fuel:
The fuel must be pump #1/#2 diesel only. Soy/Biodiesel fuel is permitted.
Fuel Injection Pump:
The fuel injection pump is limited to a stock-appearing, Dual high-pressure common-rail fuel pumps or HPOPs are permitted. Ag governors are permitted on P Pump applications.
Hitch:
The hitch can be a Reese-style hitch; reinforcements are permitted. Trick hitches are prohibited. Bumpers may be notched or removed. The hitches height from the ground may not exceed 26 inches. Hitch to be mounted to frame only, with no other devices attached other than for safety equipment and rigid in all directions. Hitching device must at least on inch thick with 3 x 3.75 hitch opening. Hook point no closer than 27% of wheelbase back from centerline of rear axle.
Nitrous Oxide:
Nitrous oxide is prohibited. No other oxygen extenders are allowed. All system components must be removed from the truck.
Propane:
Propane is prohibited. All system components must be removed from the truck.
Rear End:
Any automotive rearend allowed
Suspension, Front:
The upper mounting point for strut assemblies must be in the factory location. Adjustable
caster/camber pillow ball mounts are permitted. The lower control arm may be strengthened provided factory-mounting points to chassis are maintained. The lower mounting point for the strut assembly may be modified for improved caster or camber. Strut tower braces, lower tie bars, sway bars, and limit straps are permitted. Traction bars and devices are permitted.
Suspension, Rear:
Rear leaf springs optional, blocked rearends allowed
Tires:
The tires must be DOT street tires. Cut tires are prohibited.
Transfer Case:
Drop boxes and reversers allowed
Transmissions:
All trucks must have steel bellhousing or scatter blanket. Blanket must be secured 360 degrees around flywheel. SFI Flywheel and rotating clutch parts. SFI numbers to be mailed in with clutch papers.
Turbocharger:
The vehicle is limited to a single turbocharger; a 2.8 bushing will need to be used if the compressor
wheel exceeds 2.8 If a bushing is used, it must be round, at least 3/4 inch long, mounted within 0.050 inch of the compressor wheel, and the inside diameter of the bushing may not exceed the 2.8 inch limit. The inlet will be measured using a 2.85 inch plug. A stock map width enhancement (MWE) groove is allowed. No MWE groove will be allowed that has a width greater than 1/4 inch. All provisions allowing air to the wheel other than via the bore and the MWE groove are prohibited.
Water Injection:
Water injection is allowed.
Wheelbase:
The vehicle must retain the original unaltered factory wheelbase and track width. Front dual-wheel spacers may be used only with accompanying positive-offset dually-style wheels.
