6/14/10 - Thanks to everyone for a great inaugural event - From Doug and Kim Bend, the entire Bend family and the Illini State Pullers to all of the friends, staff, pullers and spectators that remained faithful during the weekend event. The storms were our biggest enemy, but we did our best to keep the event running to completion on Sunday afternoon. 6/9/10 - It's Show Time for the 2010 Event - As the clock ticks down for this coming weekend event, the entire LLSN group wants to thank all of the sponsors and friends that have helped build-up this great upcoming national pulling event. Please refer to the event location page for fairground gate location and event maps and lodging information. Friday, June 11th - Pulls begin at 7pm Saturday, June 12th - Each pull event begins at 12noon and 6pm. Sunday - Rain day for any 11th or 12th pull that rains out, please hold all ticket stubs for Sunday admittance. A Friday ticket stub will be valid for either Saturday or Sunday event. More information can be found on the schedule page. Grandstand tickets at the gate will be $15.00 per ticket per session. If you show up Friday and buy a ticket for all three sessions, the price will be $35.00 Children under 5 are free.

5/29/10 - **NOTICE** All classes to compete June 11th and 12th 2010! - With the impressive response leading up to the Land of Lincoln Summer Nationals, all 20 classes, including the 8,200 lb Limited Pro Tractor class and the 6500 lb Outlaw NA Tractors, previously classified as alternative classes, will compete at the event.

5/29/10 - T-Shirts!, Get Your T-Shirts Here! - The Summer Pulls will feature two-sided event t-shirts on sale for a great price. 5/26/10 - Friday and Saturday Schedule Changes for Pulling Classes - Make sure to visit the schedule page and review your classes. Both 1,300lb and 1,900lb Mini Rod pull times have changed along with 9,300lb Super Farm Tractor class. We hope this will accommodate many pullers wishing to attend with scheduling conflicts.

5/16/10 - Special Motel room rates and contact numbers available on LLSN location page - Event room rate specials are available from $64 to $92 dollars as part of the enjoyillinois.com supporting sponsorship.

5/12/10 - Pre-Entries coming in for June 11th and 12th event - All pre-entrants will be listed on the event classes page after reentry is completed and sent from the Land of Lincoln Summer Nationals entrant info page. Participants save entry money before the May 31st early entry deadline.

4/12/10 - Min Rod Classes expand for Summer Nationals - The Land of Lincoln Summer Nationals has expanded the Mini Rod pulling classes featured at the event from one to two categories. Always a fan favorite, the 1950# Limited Mini Rod Class will be accompanied by the 1300 Mini Hot Rod Class. See the event classes page for rules and information on the additional class.

4/11/10 - Rule PDF booklet updated - All of the rule updates below have been added/revised on the downloadable rules pdf for those who want to view or print the Land of Lincoln Summer Nationals class rules.

4/8/10 - ATTENTION PULLERS, PRE ENTER EVENT NOW! - Upload entry forms and mail-in your pre-entry at the Land of Lincoln Summer Nationals entrant info page. Not only will you save entry money before the May 31st early entry deadline, we will begin featuring the pre-entered pulling teams under their classes entered on the event classes page.

4/7/10 - Rule updates - 5300# 7000# Natural Super Stock classes - Rule #9 pertaining to neutral start has been removed.

4/6/10 - Rule updates - 6500# Limited Super Stock class - Rule #7 has been revised to "6500 lbs or under running under their home club rules".

4/5/10 - Rule updates - Rule updates have been made to the Diesel 4x4 class pertaining to tow vehicles, stock fuel tank (rule removed), interior (rule removed) rear end, suspension, transfer case, transmissions, brakes, hitch, battery and turbo rules.

3/29/10 - 9500# Hot Farm rule update - The cubic inch rule for the ISPA pullers has been changed to the Mid-West Pullers class rules of 510 acid and 3” X 3.5” turbocharger. Slots allowed.

3/28/10 - Get your grandstand tickets online - The Land of Lincoln Summer Nationals website now features online ticket sales to pre-order your grandstand spectator tickets with secure PayPal ordering. Tickets ordered before June 1, 2010 will feature online discounts. Visit the online ticket ordering page.

3/23/10 - Maps, Maps, Maps - The event location page and entrant info pages have been updated with a number of State of Illinois Fairgrounds maps explaining gates and entry points for the Land of Lincoln Summer Nationals. Spectator will enter gate 11 while pulling entrants will enter and exit gate 9 over the June 11th and 12 weekend.

3/22/10 - Class Rules change for 6000# Altered Stock class - The "wide front ends only" has been removed on the rules page on the 6000# Altered Stock class rule #10 and rule 18 concerning engine cooling fans has been deleted. The rules book PDF has also been revised to supercede any previous rules dated before 3/22/10.

3/22/10 - Class Rules - Shield rule update in 6000# Altered Stock, 5300# Natural Super Stock and 7000# Natural Super Stock, 6500# Limited Super Stock, 9500# Hot Farm and 11000# Pro Farm classes - The shield rule has been updated on the rules page and the rules book PDF to supercede any previous rules dated before 3/22/10.

3/19/10 - Class Rules are available along with a downloadable PDF - Competitors can visit the rules page to view online class rules or download a viewable/printable PDF class rules document.

3/18/10 - Competitors can view the payouts on the schedule page - Visit the Land of Lincoln Summer Nationals schedule page to view the Friday and Saturday event roster along with the general payouts for each class, each day.

3/17/10 - Attention competitors - The new entrant info page is available to upload specific entry forms and waivers to pre-fill out for the event. You can also mail-in your entry and save entry money before the May 31st early entry deadline.

3/14/10 - Event Location Page - Updated with lots of info on the The Multi-Purpose Arena at the State of Illinois fairgrounds in Springfield. The fairgrounds nearby Orr Building will host the major vintage truck and tractor show that is free with all paid admission to the pulls. You can get local information and even see the live webcam from the Multi-Purpose Arena grandstand!

3/11/10 - Summer Nats media page - The Land of Lincoln Summer Nationals is advertising this event in a weath of media. See our ads in Full Pull Magazine, HOOK Magazine and Heriate Iron Magazine. The media page contains recent ad copy, flyers and web banners available for pullers and enthusiasts to use.
